Walk Notes:  We're off to visit the beautiful and sustainable Evergreen Brick Works. This is a natural gem hidden away right in the middle of the city. Bob and Mary Moore, who worked here as volunteers, are looking forward to showing you around.

On Tuesday, September 17, we’ll meet at 10:00 AM at the east entrance of Castle Frank subway (outside door) to begin our walk. If you are late or choose to take the shuttle (see note below) or drive, then meet us at 11:00 AM at the Brick Works by the large table in hallway outside Café Belong, near the entrance to the store.

**Please Note** If you want the tour without the walk (2.5 - 3 km), there's a free green shuttle at 10:30. It is located just north of Broadview Station and will take you to and from The Brick Works. :-) You can also get to The Brick Works via the #28A bus at Davisville Station along Line 1.

We'll begin by walking along Castle Frank Rd. and then walk through Rosedale to Craigleith Gardens to Milkman's Lane, a more wooded path (soil and stone surface).

Milkman's Lane becomes the Beltline Trail and we'll take that right to the Evergreen Brick Works. The walk will be approximately 50 minutes at walking pace over some uneven terrain.

At the Brick Works we’ll do a tour of the inside buildings and the quarry ponds. Afterward you can enjoy a picnic or have a bite to eat or a coffee at the Brickworks Café Belong.

On the way home, you can either retrace your steps or you can catch the free shuttle bus that will take you to Broadview Station. If you wish to take the TTC, the #28A bus will take you to Davisville Station. Let's all enjoy our time together at The Evergreen Brick Works!!

We look forward to seeing you there!!

For more information:  Contact the event organizer Mary Moore (through the Member Directory). If you register and can't make it, please de-register and free up a space on the walk for another Probus member on the wait list. And please don't just show up if you haven't registered. Much appreciated.

Restless Soles: These walking tours are arranged by Gary Schlee, Bob & Mary Moore, and other interested Probus Toronto members.  Have an idea for a walk you'd like to organize? Let us know. Restless Soles walks are open to all club members.
